How long have you been a member of the NASPP?

John: 4 years

How did you end up working on stock compensation?

John: Executive Compensation has always an area of interest for me since graduate school. Once I got an opportunity to get into the Compensation field many years ago, it was not long before I got a chance to help out with Stock Compensation because of my excellent MS Office skills.

What would you be doing if you didn't work in stock compensation?

John: I would probably be back in a role as a Compenstion Analyst supporting an IT function.

What was your college or university major?

John: Bachelor's in Economics and a Masters in Human Resorces and Industrial Relations

Name one item you couldn't do your job without:

John: Dual monitors. Using just one monitor is so inefficient...

What are your favorite things to do when you aren't working?

John: Exercising

Watching movies

Where is your favorite place to go on vacation?

John: Definitely Oahu. I have been there a couple times and would like to retire there someday.

John: The China Study by T. Colin Campbell

What's one thing your peers may be surprised to learn about you?

John: With my stong analytical skills and gentle nature, many people are surprised that I worked for a long time as a Corporate Recruiter.

How has being a member of the NASPP helped you?

John: The newsletters have been a great resource for me in providing a detailed explanation of certain tax and accounting topics to other departments.
